Voxicology is the brainchild of Paul Emmett who had a vision of creating an Acapella choir in Grantham in 2014. After a round-up of his friends who were still talking to him, this powerful singing group is now one of the finest in the East Midlands (probably).

So what does Voxicology have that so many other groups don’t? Well besides total melodic unison, years of experience and a brilliant, shining passion for their art, they’re a group of friends who just enjoy coming together each week and singing. Get in touch to find out more.

Who are Voxicology? Read a little more about us all here

  • Cat – Alto and Assistant Musical Director. Cat loves singing off-beat and syncopated rhythms, and spends her days as an English and Music teacher.
  • Matthew – Bass. Matthew supports the whole Voxicology sound and we all miss him if he can’t make a rehearsal
  • Ruth – Soprano and Chief Organiser, Ruth will keep us in check and also provides us with baked goods for many rehearsals. She is a fantastic Nurse with the NHS when not singing
  • Jo – Soprano. Jo is a TA in a local primary school and has been performing all her life. She is a Scout Leader and the Producer for the Grantham Gang Show
  • Nathaniel – Tenor, Beatboxer and Muscle. Nathaniel could beat us all up so we keep him sweet with tasty treats and stroking his wrestling ego
  • Amy – Soprano. Amy is a teacher and sings and performs with lots of local groups. She tends to not have spare time, but when she does she is busy with Brownies and Guides.
  • Paul – Our Musical Director and arranger of all our music and Tenor. Paul is a professional musician, working in schools and as a performer all around the East Midlands and the UK
